Rodent Control
Rodent control is a critical element of any home or commercial pest control service. Mice can slip through a hole the size of a dime, and rats can fit through an opening the size of a quarter. Rats and mice are notorious for gnawing their way into warmer structures from the cold (or hot) outdoors. They seek shelter foot and most importantly, a good source for water. Rats and mice can be excluded from gaining entrance into a home or building. If a rat or mouse infestation is found, Bugman Pest Control Inc. has several protocols for fast rat and mouse removal.
Mice
Mice are the most common rodent problem in the world. They can breed rapidly and the problem can be out of hand before you realize they are around. Not only are they a nuisance but they can cause many health risks. Rodent feces can spread bacteria and trigger allergic reactions. They have also been known to carry the deadly Hantavirus.
Treatment
We suggest a rodent exclusion in every home before the problem begins. We would also begin a baiting program to reduce the problem before they can start infesting the home.
Pack Rats
Pack rats are the most common type of rat in New Mexico. They typically build their nest under cactus, bushes or trees. They use pieces of cactus and sticks to protect the entrance of the nests from predators.
Gophers, Moles & Voles
Gophers, Moles, and Voles require different solutions then other pests. The most indicative sign of a gopher/vole infestation is seeing multiple fresh dirt mounds showing up around your property. Gophers and voles tunnel under ground causing soil disruption in a property. As they tunnel through an area underground they will eat the roots of plants and trees in their vicinity. We have a few options at treating gophers and voles, locating their tunnels and implementing a trapping or baiting program. Bugman has decades of experience with gophers/voles, so if your seeing mounds in your yard give us a call and we will keep your plants and soil safe.
